Ukulele Lessons
Private Ukulele Lessons
INSTRUCTOR: Jessica Risinger
Ukulele lessons at Legacy are fun and flexible. Students start off with a beginner book to learn instrument care, music theory basics, hand position and technique, common chords, basic strumming patterns, and some simple songs. Beginning ukulele lessons involve almost as much singing as playing the instrument, so students will not only improve instrumental skills but vocal skills as well. Ukulele students will also have opportunities to choose songs which they want to learn as challenges and recital pieces. These lessons are very “student-centered” and our ukulele students quickly exhibit increased skill and confidence within the first three months of lessons.
Depending on the student and his or her goals, ukulele lessons might be completed in a year or they might be completed in several years. This instrument is extremely accessible for students young and old (ages 6 and up!) The relatively low cost (starting at $50) makes it a great instrument to try.
